Excellent! I know you and Ana have faced numerous hurdles on your wonderful project. So we’re really happy to hear things are moving forward. Having done my own little stint of building (3 homes in California), I know you’ll find it incredibly satisfying.
Would like to hear more about how successful the water diviner was when we see you next. By the way there’s a beautiful piece of music called “the water diviner” - check it out > https://youtu.be/kTxl563Az7E
Thanks so much Terrance - it's great to hear from you...you'll have to drop by and give us some hints and tips! We're still waiting for the big dig...the music is fabulous, and perfect to relax us while we worry about water (although it's nice to get a few showers early this year...even if it wasn't the cascading downpour we were predicted).
Great update! It’s lovely how your good friends intermingle with the project’s progress. They seem to buoy your fortitude and conviction with fruitful results!
Regarding recycling v reuse in the mid-70's between school and polytechnic I worked for my local brewery W H Brakspear & Sons in Henley on Thames, CAMRA nerds would sing it's praises. My father finished his working life as Assistant Brewer; in the family we called it Jack's brew. Simply magnificent IPA 1033 session beer. All brewery produced beer and mineral bottles were reused, not recycled on site. This struck me even then as being eminently sensible. All bottles had a deposit so the incentive was there for the landlord/lady to ensure the accurate and full return of "empties". I guess the growth of the supermarkets has led to the need for recycling but as for its efficiency.....?
Great news about your ongoing development Similar knee problems to you have ended my walking football career 😄, now I suffer the abuse as referee. Boa sorte 👍
I remember Brakespear (I used to write about beer in the mid-90s when CAMRA was all the rage and cask ales were the thing. Going back to things like that has got to be the way forward! Another project we haven't got time for!
I’ve enjoyed following your blog for the past year or so. Great to see some former rugby players out there helping you ! I was too old to play against you for Morpeth RFC when you played for Northern 1st XV.
