Glad you guys had a good Christmas (avec heat!) - looking forward to 2021 for many reasons, including your continuing story😃👍. What about a Channel 4 commission to do a series of documentaries of your adventures à la Dick and Angel in France (Escape to the Chateau)? Wishing you and yours a fun New Year’s Eve and a great 2021. Can’t wait for the next instalment of your journey 😃👍👍👍
So glad to find you/your blog. I'm an ex-aid worker about to move to the same area and do something similar albeit on a much smaller scale, so it's good to know the seemingly impossible is actually not that mad an idea.
Thanks so much for your help on Dec 24th António...sadly we have a fault again with the Combustion controller - is there any chance you could email me directly please at Alastair.leithead@gmail.com so I can call you and see if we can fix it again remotely! Thanks so much, Al
Glad to hear your news! We are back in the North East after many years at the BBC in Cambridge and Mart can now work from home as Comms lead at a global FTSE 100. So still functioning for now. Keep ploughing on! Sounds idyllic where you are - a lot W armer than Northumberland! Would love to visit when this is all over! X
The amazing thing is how things all go terribly wrong all at once and then somehow the clouds clear and it’s OK! Millicent’s alternator belt had snapped and on NYE the garage managed to fix it. hero. We have wheels and can go for a nice NY meal by the ocean...and we got the roof on. I mean it’s like golf - a few things going well make you think that it’s worth carrying on as one day you’ll master it! All this to look forward to Martin...!

All the very best to you for the NY Phil. If anyone knows anyone at channel 4 please share the blog!!
Love reading about your struggle with the machines.
Th and Franck - when they said machines would take over my world I didn’t think it would’ve like this!

Thanks for the brilliant updates. Hope Millicent recovers without too much damage to the exchequer. And all the very best for 2021.

The never ending bills is a familiar tale for us too with our Cornish home. But I love reading this - makes me feel I’m not the only one !!!!
Thanks - it’s nice to hear I’m not the only one either!
Stay safe buddy, all the very best from the rugby family in the North East. Looking forward to reading the continued adventures in 2021
Thanks Craig - all the best for 2021!
Great read as usual, I love the time and effort you spent researching the areas, can you make grow vines and make wine on the land ?
Thanks Tony - yup, a third of a hectare of vines are in the biz plan...lots of learning to do first though! All the best for 2021!
