After seeing the article in the Telegraph I read your blog and find it very interesting especially as my husband and I bought a house in Aljezur about 2 years ago (after having both worked in the media for over 25 years).
Our original plan had been to buy a "project"but knowing that we are not really "project people" we opted for a "normal" finished house. I don't think we could have coped with all the problems that you've encountered.
We also have an efficient/complicated German heating and hot water system but luckily were introduced to the German/Portuguese engineer that installed it some years ago. The whole system is in German which doesn't help. Luckily Johannes/João speaks English!
With regards to the logo I think number 3 is good but I would maybe add/change colour to "get sunshine in".
I admire your long term plans for building more and wish you all the best with getting the necessary permissions.
Will follow your progress and maybe on one of our trips to Lidl/Aldi in Odemira we might come and have a look.
Been binge reading your blog from the beginning and loving it. I see a book coming - a Portugese version of “A Year in Provence” My vote is for logo 3.
Thanks matey! I suppose the best stories are the ones where you don’t know the ending, but it would be nice it’s all not going to fall apart around our ears before I write about how wonderful it all is.
Hi Guys😃👍 - my first choice is logo 3. No1 is too monochrome - logo 2 feels a bit oriental - more colour contrast in logo 4..... but was drawn to No.5 as a 2nd choice. Like the Art Deco/Nouveau feel to the designs.
Hi Al, Logo 2 stands out the most. Colours also evocative of long lazy summers. And amber nectar. Love the retro feel. Second choice would be 3 - love the green. And stars. Think word "Portugal' needs to be added to all of them.
The survey link didn’t work for me but I like 2 (so Portugal and art nouveau?) and 3 (but maybe less hills more sunset reduce text?). All are great but wondered if B+W would need a version in colour and the other one had a lot going on. Xx
It asked for a log in and then said I didn’t have permission to view that page. Anyway look forward to hearing more. We will certainly return at some stage!
I've had to self-teach myself marketing for our company. I can't say I've nailed it and I'm still struggling to understand how to use social media properly but I have noticed that what grabs my eyes with other people are very clear messages. So I vote Logo 3. I read a landscape and a name. It has depth. The writing is clear. I would maybe soften the greens and blues. Make them warmer. The Algarve makes me think of warmth. My second choice would be Logo 2. Probably because of the colours.
#2. I prefer this font. The others say Hollywood to me.
Number 3. 😁

Hi Alice!
Lovely to hear from you - great to find new “neighbors”! Aljezur is just beautiful. You must come and visit - let us know when you’re passing nearby!

Thanks Lauren. Hope to see you here soon. ⭐️

Thanks Claire! Not sure why the buttons aren't allowing comments, but thanks for your thoughts. Hope all's well.

You must! Hope all's well with you guys.
I would love to see #1 with a little color :)
I also like that it says Portugal.

Fantastic - thanks so much for your feedback.
Logo 5, because the stars come out better. And then I can recommend Plantsnap, an app that helps you identify flowers and plants.
Thanks Franck! Hope all's well.
All well, in spite of all this Corona-crap
