Fantastic...you'd be very welcome to drop by and check out the orange tree your donation to our replanting fund paid for!! It's going in today in the new terrace. We always welcome a box of Yorkshire Tea...as far as I'm aware it's not yet a controlled substance! When are you planning to come?
Hi Keiron - glad to hear you're heading over to Portugal! I'm afraid we don't have facilities for motorhomes as yet...the whole infrastructure of water filtration and waste treatment is still very much a work in progress!
BUT...We can recommend a couple of places quite near to us that might work. Out nearest beach is Zambujeira do Mar and there's a camping place called Villa Park there which people have recommended to us - it has lots of facilities including bathroom/shower facilities and a pool and welcomes motorhomes and has all you need. It’s walking distance to a lovely little tourist town of Zambujeira with shops, cafes and a great easily accessible beach. There's also another one on the N120 (the main road through our area) in a place called São Miguel Camping. I think it offers similar facilities (I’ve emailed them for you this morning) and is close to the border with the Algarve and the little beach town of Odeceixe.
You are allowed to stop one night in each parish council on a journey through the region, and so there are plenty of places for you to see, but we’d recommend checking out Carvalhal Beach, or the north (Alentejo) side of the River Ceixe. Let me know if we can be of any more help!
That’s great thank you ! We would love to pop in to see you and what you have done ? If there are any staples you might want bringing from Blighty as long as it’s legal ?
Weird...not sure what I did wrong...but here it is..!
