Alastair, i like your stories, just subscribed and read a couple of them. You live here for about 1 year and i will be 16 soon since i moved over. Unbelievable how you can see things that escape others. how much would you want for Siouxsie, now that you purchased a proper magic carpet ? Cheers
Thanks Marius...we're hanging on to Siouxsie for the time being as she's a good little open topped beach car, and we're not sure if Millicent will be repairable...fingers crossed! Thanks for signing up...do pass our blog on to anyone who might be interested (and might be able to help advise us on this whole off-grid thing!)
Fantastic - thanks Phil. We're keen to explore the Central and Alto Alentejo - the wine lands are mostly over in the east/north of the region near the Spanish border. We love Évora and its layers of history. We're down in the SW on the coast near Odemira which is the opposite corner of Alentejo, and as they say it's a big ol' province...but we love the sea breeze and the access to the beaches. Thanks for sharing that piece. Al
That's certainly an impressive looking "star" car. Recommend you park away from other vehicles wherever possible. The locals do have a habit of flinging their car doors open with carefree abandon! Our X-Trail has the dings and ouches to prove it....Boas viagens
Oh, we're trying all sorts at the moment...including travelling with some secateurs so we can trim those pesky branches on our road that we haven't needed to trim before! Cassie is already dusty and looking the part, but we're trying to keep her as pristine as possible for as long as possible!

I don't think you need to sign in to read it, but apologies if you do!

If you're smart, you can comment at the bottom of the article mentioning your blog etc!
Done! Thanks.

Welcome cassie. May you shine forever brightly and carry the precious cargo in your laps like the goddess you are.
